Reclaim your health and wellbeing by becoming a member of the Newberry County YMCA! The YMCA is a family-friendly fitness option that offers programs and amenities specifically created to accommodate families. With family membership prices, indoor family activities, and gym childcare, the YMCA is the perfect place to ensure your family’s fitness in a safe environment. A YMCA membership includes access to all of our facilities, including a weight room, pool, steam room, and gymnasium. As a YMCA member, you also can join any of our group exercise classes, which include cycling, yoga, step aerobics, water aerobics, and many more. Classes are available to members of all ages with varying fitness levels and goals. Join the YMCA family and realize your new potential while improving your health and overall wellbeing!
General Facility Rules
Membership cards must be scanned to gain access to the building or pool. Every member age 12 and up will receive a Y card.

There will be a $1.00 charge for a replacement key card.

Chewing gum and sunflower seeds are not allowed in the building.

There is no food or drinks allowed in the basketball gym.

Children must be 12 years of age to be dropped off at the Y unattended.

The walking track is reserved for ages 14 and up; children from age 8 to 13 may use the track when accompanied by a parent.

The weight room is for ages 14 and up with a parent or 16-17 without a parent and upon completion of a Weight Room Orientation.

Appropriate attire is required.

Steam, sauna, and whirlpool are for ages 18 and up.

Lockers are for daily use. Please remove all articles each day. Locks may be used on lockers for safety purposes, at a member's expense but must be removed daily. Lockers may be rented at the front desk for a $60.00 yearly fee.

Parents are responsible for their children and any damages they may incur.

The YMCA will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.

Covers must be worn over swimsuits when entering or exiting the main building.

Membership Privileges
Membership includes the use of whirlpool, sauna, steam room, aquatic facility, basketball gym, fitness center, and outside walking track. Lockers may be rented in the locker rooms of the main building for $60.00 a year. See the front desk for details.
Membership Rates
New members and members whose memberships have lapsed more than 30 days, will be assessed a $25.00 joiners fee.
*If for any reason you need to cancel your membership we must have 30 days written notice in order to stop the bank draft.

Memberships may be drafted monthly or paid quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. Monthly membership draft occurs on the 10th of each month.

Memberships may be cancelled at any time, but we must receive written notice by the last day of the preceding month of the intended cancellation (Ex: If a membership is cancelled by January 1st, they must fill out a cancellation form by December 31st.

Memberships may be put on hold for up to 2 months within a 1-year period.

The Newberry County Family YMCA participates in Nationwide Membership so, members may use their membership at any YMCA in the US at no extra cost.

Methods of Payments
Bank draft - It’s easy to pay by the month with a bank draft. Your checking account will be debited on the 10th of each month.
In the event that there is a rate increase, we will provide you a thirty-day written notice.
Annual Payment - You may pay for your membership upfront and renew it annually thereafter. Payment can be made via cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.
Financial Assistance
The Y embraces people of all ages, incomes, abilities, religions, and ethnic backgrounds. Children and Adults who cannot afford to pay full costs are encouraged to apply for scholarships.
